Nancy Salvia
Regional Director-Property Management
Nancy Salvia joined The Community Builders in January 2005 assuming
responsibility for the Central Massachusetts portfolio. It is Nancy’s
responsibility to ensure that the properties in her assigned portfolio
are operated efficiently, in conformance with TCB and ownership
standards and are achieving the mission of the development. As a member
of the property management senior staff, Nancy provides support and
guidance to the Senior and Site Managers within her portfolio.
Nancy began her career in property management in 1975 with The Beacon
Companies. Throughout her twenty-nine year career at Beacon, Nancy has
worked with a variety of housing programs, including Rent Supplement,
Section 8, Section 236, 13A, BMIR, market-rate and more recently, Low
Income Housing Tax Credit. She has been responsible for managing sites
ranging in size from 75 to 967 units. Her strength and experience in
budgeting and asset management give her the tools necessary to produce
viable and financially stable housing in her portfolio. Throughout her
career, Nancy has, in addition to her role at the sites, been
responsible for providing support on a company-wide basis for various
software programs including MicroHud, Hud Manager, TRACS and Yardi. This
support included developing and implementing written procedures for
these programs as well as other statutory and regulatory requirements
and assisting in the training process.
Nancy has attended numerous classes and seminars to expand her
knowledge of all aspects of the housing industry and currently holds the
designation of Certified Occupancy Specialist and a Certified C3P Tax
Credit Specialist. This, added to an Associates Degree in Business
Administration and many years of on-site experience make her a valuable
addition to the TCB family.
Anthony (Tony) Berthod
Portfolio Manager
Anthony H. Berthod has worked for
The Community Builders Inc. for 20 years. During that time he has held
several different positions within the Property Management Division and
learned the business from the ground up. He was hired in May of 1985 as
the Maintenance Superintendent at the Uxbridge/Millville Regional
Housing, an 80 unit Section 8 /202 Elderly/Handicapped facility where he
was responsible for the maintenance and repair of life safety and
mechanical systems. He was promoted to Site Manager/Social Services
Coordinator in 1994. He earned his Accredited Residential Manager
designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management in 1998 and
joined the Rhode Island Chapter #88 in 1999 and has been an active
member since. In May of 2000 he earned a (CPO) Certification of
Professional Occupancy designation through N.A.H.M.A. He was promoted to
Multi-Site Manager in 1999 and was responsible for the oversight of both
Uxbridge/Millville and Mission Springs Housing a total of 155 units. He
was promoted to Senior Property Manager in 2002. His responsibilities
include oversight of 14 Staff, and the administrative and maintenance
operations of (6) properties consisting of a total of 363 units
comprised of LIHTC, Section 8/202’s and 202/PRAC.’s He is a member of
the TCB Insurance Risk Committee, and has mentored and trained several
site managers. The knowledge and experience he has gained throughout
his career along with his ability to effectively communicate with Owners
and agencies make him a valuable asset to TCB.

Kameel Daher
Maintenance Supervisor
Kameel Daher joined the staff at Cheriton Grove in
2004 as the Maintenance Supervisor. He came to us with 18 years of
experience in various trades including electrical, plumbing, painting &
drywall, finish carpentry and flooring. This coupled with his knowledge
of general maintenance made him the perfect candidate for this
position.
He is responsible for the general upkeep of the
property, including daily work orders, preventative maintenance and unit
turnover. He oversees contracts and contractors and is responsible for
working within the parameters of his operating budget.
He completed 2 years of a Carpentry apprenticeship
and is certified in OSHA Compliance and Lead Awareness. |
