A Campaign for the Future

Cheriton Heights

Cheriton Heights Sketch

We have come a long way since our early days when the original American Arabic Benevolent Association (AABA) Board of Directors made a commitment to the elderly community to construct Cheriton Grove—our first unit of elderly housing. Since then, the AABA has made safe and affordable housing available for hundreds of seniors and individuals with special needs. In addition, we have been helping the community grow through various initiatives such as food certificates, scholarships, senior day trips, aid to individuals in time of need or emergency, and more.

As we enter our 36th year, the AABA is embarking on an exciting new project that will add 70 units of elderly housing and a range of facilities that will be available to all of our residents and the community at large. Cheriton Heights will be built adjacent to Cheriton Grove and together the two buildings will create a campus setting with programs and services such as health screenings, community meetings, library and technology facilities, cooking classes, and more. Cheriton Heights will help us to continue our mission of improving the lives of those who deserve so much—our seniors.

We hope you will consider making a financial committment to Cheriton Heights. Your donation is crucial to the success of the project. Generous donations from the community will allow us to move forward with the construction of our new facility.

We are offering several ways for you to contribute to the success of the Cheriton Heights project—named-gift opportunities, one- to three-year pledge options, and individual donations of any amount.

With our past experience in bringing such a project to fruition and the financial support of the community, AABA will be able to move forward with the planning and construction of Cheriton Heights. We bring with us a knowledge of how to work with federal and local agencies to get the project done. We also know how to best meet the needs of the elderly in our community. With the building of the Cheriton Heights facility, we will continue our efforts to provide safe, affordable, and much-needed housing options for seniors.
